This lake has it all. Fishing, camping and swimming at Merrideth park on the north shore... scenery drives east and west... and the many stopping spots on the south side on the edge of town, Hard to beat.

It is a large expanse of water and possibly great for boating but the foreshore is not deeveloped at all and is not a great place to visit. The arwea visited had some grass and trees but full of weeds and rushes at the watewrline.

There was still some water when we were their in May 2016. I understand the rain in recent weeks has lifted the level. However, as I do not live in Colac I cannot be more precise.
