We were so disappointed (especially after having to pay $10 each) to see this beautiful old mansion in such disrepair. The place is still literally falling apart.

An interesting look at our colonial past and how the rich lived. The house itself is very interesting alone but the stories and embelishments added by the volunteers makes it so much more.

We visited here after the Darling Downs Zoo (20 mins south), hoping to get something from the cafe for lunch and then visit through the homestead. Scones, pikelets, coffee, tea, milkshake and your basic canned drinks plus the lunch food for the day was fritters....More

We tried to visit here during a longer road trip last year but got the timing wrong and the homestead was closed. Made up for it and visited on the weekend. Glad to see that the house has been saved and weatherproofed to stop it...More

Restoration outside looks good .Inside is OK ,but not nearly finish. The Coffee was real bad, and the service at the table was very very slowwwwwwwwww. Not very exiting.

Hi There, Glengallan is approx. 178km from Redcliffe, 2 hrs 30mins driving time. We are open over the Easter Sat, Sun & Mon except for Good Friday, 10am-4pm. Normal trading days Wed-Sun 10am-4pm.

Hey The GPS easy find in google maps .... if you're coming from Brisbane you will turn at Eight Mile from highway 15 and head towards Toowoomba on highway A3 .... not very far from Glengallon creek and bridge you turn right... More
