Mooloolaba is a lovely resort set on a beautiful beach. The promenade has numerous restaurants and shops.
There are lovely walks along the promenade and a harbour quay with more shops bars and restaurants. Also plenty of activities should you wish.

Beach just across the road and very accessible. Coastline is very beautiful in the morning. There are surf club and surf school around as this is one of the surf spots in Queensland and a lot of restaurant near the beach.
No you won't be able too bring your own barby. Best to have some kind soul go and claim a vacant one, if there is one, at around 3pm. You could also try the river front at Cotton Tree, there are a few more there. Or... More
