A great museum right on the doorstep of the Sunshine Coast. The aircraft are in mostly good condition, with well written information provided for each aircraft, including specific flight information for each aircraft. The staff were very friendly & helpful. Highly recommended.

Hi Gareth. Thanks for your review and comments. One of our challenges at QAM is, and an acquirer of historic aircraft, often our acquisitions get ahead of our capacity to maintain/restore them. We are constantly seeking additional volunteers to assist at all levels.

Great place to visit, they have most of Australia's historical aircraft and quite a few of the civil aircraft as we. To think that most of theses aircraft were refubished by volunteers is amazing. Well worth at least couple of hours.

Today I heard about the museum for the first time. We decided to go but my expectations were very low. However to our surprise we found a very well organised and maintained beautiful museum with a big variety of planes and helicopters. I highly recommend...More

Great little aviation museum at Caloundra airport. Very easy to spend one to two hours here even if you are not an aviation buff. The Neptune aircraft was open so you could climb up into the cockpit. Run by helpful and enthusiastic volunteers. Worth a...More

Not inexpensive at $20 per adult or $40 per family but the whole project relies on the public to cover expenses. There is no government funding. Most of the labour is provided by volunteers. Great variety of aircraft both civilian and military, and an interesting...More

Thanks for your review. Pleased you appreciated the work by QAM's volunteers, and, yes, we are all volunteers. That said, even without a wages bill, QAM is an expensive place to run. Just one recent recovery and restoration has cost 6 figures! and have added...More

We spent a couple of hours here. They have all sorts of aircraft, including F111. Lots of historical info. The volunteer staff are passionate about the place and very informative. Well worth a visit.

We visited the museum on very rainy wet day . The volunteers were very friendly and engaging. The variety of aircraft was impressive and surprisingly kept both my children engaged. We had a very interesting and enjoyable visit.
