Not far out of town, perched atop seaside cliffs with a magic view. Plenty of parking, and the admission fees are ok.

Very interesting and informative part of our history. Well built and worth the drive out to see. If the walls could talk it would be worth listening. I didn't see any ghosts but I am sure they are there!

Never a silly question! I didn't see any pets and suspect it's National park or state reserve surrounding the gaol so definitely would need to check.
