Trial Bay Gaol is a fascinating place to visit. Full of history about it s original construction and it s occupants. Currently there is the annual Sculpture Exhibition on display. National Parks manage the Gaol. They also organise activities during school holidays

Came here on a nice sunny day, had a picnic just outside the Gaol & saw kangaroos chilling inside the Gaol. Interesting place!

It’s worth stopping here for an hour or so to learn something of the history of this area. Great views. There are some walks from the car park with stunning views of the coast.

Where do we start. How little did I know about the history surrounding this goal. Magnificent setting overlooking the ocean. Plenty of parking, also has small caravan park surrounding the base. Worth a visit allocate a few hours in your schedule.

Great place to visit - lots of history. You get a real insight into life at the Gaol for prisoners. You get to go inside some of the cells which the kids loved. There are plenty of information boards around detailing each section of the...More

To be honest, I had no idea about the history here. This place is well worth a look. The setting is marvellous, and in whale season you get a good view. The history here is both interesting and disconcerting. What is left of the remains...More

We learnt so much when visiting this old gaol. It was amazing to learn of the internment of the German people (we were saddened by this) but it is an important part of history. The site is complimented by a wonderful video, great staff and...More

Never a silly question! I didn't see any pets and suspect it's National park or state reserve surrounding the gaol so definitely would need to check.
