The 800 stairs are quite steep and a bit challenging for those afraid of height. Some passages are very narrow and only allow one person to pass. It takes around 45mins one way. The end of the stairway leads to a forest (another 30mins) or...More

We did a loop walk from Katoomba Falls down the Furber stairs around base of the Three Sisters up The Giant Stairway and back to Katoomba Falls. Approx 8km loop. If you take your time you will be fine. You need to be confident on...More

From the echo point, we took a short walk to the giant stairway. It was pretty narrow but it was a short and interesting walk down and then return up the same way. Quite a few people explored this stairway and only one person can...More

The Giant Stairway is a very steep climb up and down many stairs and is not for the faint hearted. it is very hard on the knees and you must be fit to attempt. Wear good stable shoes. The views are amazing.

The Giant Stairway is a series of nearly 1,000 steep steps carved into the cliff face next to the Three Sisters over 100 years ago. The steps lead to the valley below the escarpment and meets the Federal Pass track. The Scenic Railway is a...More

With a family in tow, we went to the Giant Stairway. It is great fun and provides a reasonably cheap activity for the whole family.

There is some confusion about the Three Sisters Giant Stairway. I asked at the Tourist Info and we were told that the “Three Sisters Giant Stairway” are the one near the first sister. We can walk all the way down supposedly. The next morning, we...More
