Loved my visit to the stones. Only minus was that when I touched the Gaelic stone I wasn't transported back in time to meet Jamie Fraser 😉 maybe next time 😁 #Outlandereffect

A piper lead us onto the site, a monument to the Celtic Pioneers in the area. They were dedicated in 1992. It is the only solar-aligned megalithic stone circle built anywhere in the world for more than 3000 years.

Very cool place. Worth the trip. I went here to attend Outlandish 2018, an Outlander fan gathering. Aside from that however, the stones are worth a trip to see.

Great tourist spot, a must see when in the area. You can get some great pics as the sun sets as the light changes frequently. Lovely view of the surrounding town from the top. Cafe onsite but this was closed when we visited at 5:30pm.
