The Tassie short walks are dotted all around and are well worth doing. Nelson Falls are one of 4 short walks between Derwent Bridge and Queenstown. It is an easy flat short walk to a pretty little waterfall. Good signage along the short track.

Make the effort to stop as it is a quick walk. The path is accessible and easy for the less able. No benches though. We went in Oct so falls were strong. Woodland walk was great. Accessible toilets tho infuriating loo paper dispenser as evidenced...More

A short easy walk to a magnigicent water fall. Wheel chair accessible just requires a bit of effort to push. Well worth the walk.

Great place to stretch your legs and a pit stop either heading to Queenstown/Strahan or the return journey with picnic and toilet facilities. It’s an easy short walk along the Franklin River and cool temperate rainforest 20 mins approx. return on a well maintained track....More

Nelson Falls are a 10 minute (easy) walk along a beautiful rain forest track. The walk is worth doing, even without the falls, but the falls are a bonus. The track meanders along the creek banks, with only the sound of the birds and water...More

Don't miss this fantastic spot. Beautiful walk to the falls through the rainforest - even in the rain! Falls were thunderous and standing in front of them with the noise and wind on your face will just reinforce the amazing western wilderness of Tasmania.

It's worth a 20 minute stop to walk through the rain forest to photograph Nelson Falls but make sure you visit the falls after Queenstown and Strahan as it is on the road back to Hobart.

Beautiful scenery along a well maintained track takes you to these amazing falls. The turn off to the car park is easy to find with good signage - well worth a stop to stretch your legs along this easy peasy walk!

Can be reached from Queenstown, the walk is flat, well marked, informative and has toilets and is well worth the brief stop.

These are beautiful falls just a short walk in from the car park on the main highway. Lots of information signs along the path beside the river. Falls are not high but very pretty. Plenty of fungi in the lush vegetation to spot along the...More
