This hike was great. It had plenty of ups and downs throughout the track to keep you mind always entertained. There were many small offshoot trails that you could take as well. Also, if you want a daredevil experience, (don't) walk on the pipes over...More

The Sawpit Gully walk is unique as it encompasses a diverse range of terrain, flora and fauna for a relatively short track. Regardless of whether you attack it clockwise or anticlockwise it contains some challenging climbs. Clockwise and 90% of your hard work is done...More

Beautiful views but signage bad. Got so lost as we ended up taking an animal track. Took another 3 hours to find our way back. Maybe doing it anticlockwise would be a better option.

Was looking for a heart pounding uphill walk and this trail provided it. I found the trail poorly marked with lots of trails going off so managed to end up after 90 minutes having run out of Trail and looking at having to cross the...More

Go anti-clockwise and you will have the treat of downhill steps at the end, I was glad I dind't have to go up those! The walk was honsestly one of my favorite walks I've done. We went in the winter and the frost was fresh...More

You need a reasonable level of fitness. When you are on the trail you feel like you are in the middle of no where. Its beautiful and serene. Worth getting away from the very touristy part of central Arrowtown and getting up in the hills.

This walk can vary according to how long and how far you want to go.Starts at the bottom of the Main Street and for a while goes along the river, then follows hills and gullies. There are some steep areas and a few rough stairs...More
