I was here during the Expoflora 2018. It's nice to see and hear some Dutch people around you in Brazil, and to eat kroketten. The core exhibition with photos, a movie, and some old equipment used in this colony, is very interesting. Right after the second world war the first Dutch settlers arrived in an abandoned town. Due to the bad conditions, they soon were on the brink of bankruptcy, and the Dutch government had to help out. Then the colony started to focus on flower production, and now this small place produces 45% of Brazil's flowers. Several old houses can be seen from the inside, and outside there is a lot of old farming equipment, and also a street organ (draaiorgel).

This is the best place from explofora park. There are a museum and a tipical restaurant. The museum tells the Holand history imigration to Brasil. The people that work there are Holand!

Great pics about the history of the Dutch immigrants coming to Holambra. Set up nicely with friendly staff.

We enjoyed this museum, probably because of my Dutch ancestry. It had many pictures to view that showed life for the immigrants. It is worth checking out.

there was traditional house, it was interesting. If I studied before going, it would be much better to understand not only their history but culture.

The story of Holambra is nicely told by a large collection of photos and which are well described in an interesting way. At least us, but I think all visitors, will walk out of the museum with a respect for the hardship the first pioneers had to endure, trying to farm in a country with conditions so different from what they were used to and so far from anything familiar. The two houses on the terrain are very nicely kept and the collection of agricultural tools illustrates the hard work the first farmers had to put in. A must if you're visiting Holambra.
