I stayed in Sails Resort and there were no tents. I did not notice any in the resorts I visited.

You can search for uluru hop on hop off bus timetable. TA does not allow me to attach the link. Different month different schedule. It is much easier to rent a car.

Desert awakenings tour. Taken up to a private Sandune for breakfast and then the best spots around Uluru.
