About
Leliyn/ Edith Falls is located within the pristine Nitmiluk National Park (Katherine Gorge). Enjoy swimming in the paperbark and pandanus fringed natural pool at the base of the falls most of the year, or check out the upper pools via a moderate uphill walk. The area is great for bushwalking with numerous trails surrounding.

A nice spot for a refreshing swim.
Refreshing swimming hole and waterfall. Swimming area is big so lots of space to avoid crowds and other swimmers. We didn’t go to the upper pools and only stayed in the lower pool. There’s a grass area near by for a picnic as well as a basic cafe for pies and toastiest for lunch. Not a huge selection but adequate. Toilets are adequate. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

    Beautiful National Parks!
Beautiful National Park! We enjoyed the loop walk and did all 3 pools. Stopping off for a swim an lunch at the falls ! Go early, it far to warm to be starting this walk later than 10am We left at 7.30am it was perfect walking temperature! Pack plenty of water and your swimmers! The camp ground is popular! Stunning waterfall with safe swimming
Absolutely stunning place to visit. Go early and beat the crowds. The walk there and back is easy for kids (lots of flat rocks, but well marked and not too gravelly). The pools are magic- so much more beautiful than photos on this post show. We all loved it

    Spectacular
We did the Leliyn 2.6km Trail clockwise. It was a beautiful walk, the 1.6km section is over very rocky, uneven and at times steep sections but just go slow and it's fine. The swimming in the Upper Pool is most worth the effort of the walk. Walk is between grade 3 & 4 I'm not that fit and found it mostly enjoyable.

Beautiful spot, I was there in September during the dry season. Best way to swim the falls, is to pick up a pool noddle from Woolworths in Katherine, that way you can swim over to the waterfall which I did. You can also walk up to the top of the falls and find more areas to swim. The area is monitored for saltwater crocodiles, definitely can’t swim there in the wet season. Well worth a trip, and the area is not overcrowded.

Like Jim Jim Falls and Maguk Gorge, this is a great waterhole for a swim. And the extra benefit is that it's only a 5 minute walk from the car park. For those who like to work harder before their swim, there is a higher waterfall to hike to but I was very happy with this beautiful accessible space.

Edith Falls is off the highway about 20 kilometers and worth travelling to either on your to Katherine or on your way back to Darwin.
It is an easy flat walk to the falls and the swimming area is huge. The water is cool and refreshing.
