It's an easy walk up to the rock art but some areas have rocky steps so wearing good walking shoes is advisable. Otherwise the walkways and man made steps are easy to walk on and in good conditon. Take bottled water with you as well....More

This was such a great experience. The artwork is in amazing condition given it's 1000 years old. We only went as far as the gallery which takes only a few minutes to get to and is an easy walk. Definitely worth the trip.
There is a lookout point on the road down to the Nourlangie rockface. I can't remember it's name but it is a short 300m steepish rock walk. When you look back to the Nourlangie rock, it is stunning!
