This notorious crossing is where the crocs feed. Do not venture too near to the water or get into it for you never never know. We have been warned of this place that many people have been taken by the salties (crocodile). This is the...More

We saw this crossing recently and cars going over it. Fortunately the water was not too deep and the current not too strong and there were no incidents. We certainly saw many crocodiles along the river up stream to the crossing. We did a boat...More

When in the area we always drop by to check out the crossing, if you have the time it is interesting to check out the locals fishing, the crocs hovering and the upturned vehicles from unfortunate crossings!!

We stopped by on our way to Ubir as it’s a quick detour. A short walk gets you to a viewing platform where you can see the crossing & watch cars cross. At points of the day you can also see crocs sunning.

I counted more than 20 crocodiles within a 100 meter radius of Cahills Crossing. There are also a lot of barramundi with people happily fishing amongst the crocodiles.

It's an interesting area but if you are not going there for fishing not worth it. Very good to catch wild Barramundi

Highlight at this time of year was seeing the cars that have gone over from people who are stupid enough to ignore signs. Understand that at other times it is a croc congregation point to eat the fish. Easy to get to, and good observation...More

If you're looking for a place to spot Crocodiles then this is the place to go. Also nearby Ibirr is amazing with its rock art and beautiful sunset viewing area.
