This centre covers a lot of areas revolving around outback life and is well worth the entrance fee. Take time to watch the videos and read all the wonderful information on display

A really informative experience with great AV presentations. Plenty of interactive things for kids to do and pretty good value for money if you take the time to look at everything.

We spent a few hours at the Wadlata Outback Centre on our way through Port Augusta and it was great to see the displays of the rail-air history, mining and everything else that has and is happening in the area. Great set up, nice displays and really well presented. Pat on the back for everyone involved.

We were exited to visit Wadlata Outlook Centre. Arriving in the Tourist Office (where the center is) we had to pay! And not a small amount. It was 21 dollars a person!! Ridiculous! If a center like this is part of a tourist office. It should be free for everyone. Otherwise make it a commercial attraction. We were very disappointed.

Don't miss this. At the outset it may seem on the expensive side but once you get into the experience and you are still finding things of interest after 3 plus hours, it's good value. Geology, Aboriginal dreamtime, Exploration, Mining, Oil & Gas extraction, Rail history, Flying Doctor, many DVD's screening in various locations and much more. There is also... More

Went as a family was pricey $20 per adult abt $11 per child U12 price was biggest factor on my star rating it doesn't seem like a family budget price outing. Exhibits were interesting kids more interested in the hands on foot pedal radio and RFDS and communications devices, Recommend for singles or couples not families at the prices charged... More

We started with a light meal in the restaurant which was surprisingly good. Entrance into the viewing area showing the history and culture of Pt Augusta and surrounding areas is not free. We had a seniors concession so for us it was money well spent for 2 hours of interest. There is onsite parking and in the street. Toilets were... More

One of the best places ! We spent over two hours here, and had a very delicious lunch before buying some things from the extensive range of gifts and souvenirs.
