This section of Hervey Bay is deserted yet beautifully quiet. The part where we went to had a parking lot surrounded by property and residential area, so don't expect cafes etc. Good for a morning walk with the dog, collecting shells and taking photographs early...More

Great place to head when you want a peaceful day! Love taking our dog for a walk along the beach at Dundowran.

Dundowran Beach is a long stretch of protected Beach that is almost deserted. At low tide, the water can be several hundred metres from the shore, so it’s a very safe area for small children. It’s common for early morning walkers to share the Beach...More

when the tide is in, the beach is excellent,not many tourists to put you off.when the tide is out it goes along way, we found our dogs loved being off the leash as we walked out to the waves

This beach is amazing for a beautiful quiet walk, especially when the tide is out. Loved seeing the soldier crabs too

If you go to the right of Ansons Road you might meet some naked sunlovers. To the left of Ansons is the way to go. The best place is at the end of Sawmill Road where you can walk left and right. At Sawmill Road...More

Very shallow with midges and sandflies. At low tide you will walk forever to reach the shallow water. Nothing special visually.
