The pier always has something happening. There are markets every saturday morning, park run and cafes. don't forget to go and get a coffee at Kelz back house walk over the road to sit at one of the esplanade tables and enjoy the amazing scenery....More
Urangan Pier was originally used for the export of sugar, coal and timber, and later on oil. The pier was decommissioned in 1985 but, thanks to the efforts of the “Save the Pier” campaign, 880 metres of the Pier were saved for everybody’s enjoyment.

We did a stroll to the Saturday market and found the usual local fruit and Vegetables.
I brought nice kitchen hand towels that button on to a door handle ,a nice lady was sitting making them on her stall .

We visited and enjoyed the long walk out to the end of The Pier.It certainly is a popular place to go fishing and we enjoyed the sunset. My husband returned in the morning to take some sunrise photos. We thoroughly enjoyed our Mr Whippy ice...More
