We had a great morning with Simon who took us fishing and then on to see dolphins and seals. Simon was very friendly towards our kids and made the trip feel relaxed and fun. My kids loved the fishing and Simon was very knowledgeable about the fish, birds and all the wildlife we saw. I would highly recommend this tour.... More

Amazing trip! Simon is a legend. Me and my partner got 2 crayfish and 1.2kg of fish. We took it to the local fish and chip shops who cooked it all up for us (for a fee). Great day out.

We had an unforgettable 3 hours with the lovely, very friendly, competent & knowledgeable Simon. A bit of fishing, a visit to a seal nursery to see the babies learning to swim, and an amazing encounter with dozens of wild dolphins swimming and leaping all around the boat. Simon has deep experience & knowledge of the local area and fauna,... More

What can I say. My husband and I had the most amazing trip. Our skipper Simon could not have been more helpful, friendly or knowledgable. We saw pretty much everything there is to see in the incredible Kaikoura waters and to top it off went back with cod, perch and a couple of whopping crayfish for our tea. If you... More

We had the most amazing tour and absolutely loved it! We started out with a bit of fishing, then spent some of the fish feeding birds (sea gulls and albatross mostly), then raced some dolphins, saw a penguin, a whale in the distance, visited a seal colony and finished off catching crayfish. We were 3 people in all on the... More

A wonderful experience. "Whale Watch" is a really well organised with a brief on safety before departure. The staff and guides were very knowledgeable and after a while we experienced the sight of two sperm whales which was truly awesome. On the way back we were told by the captain that we had some "show-offs" and would cut engines for... More

We travelled to Kaikoura specifically to see the marine life and soon found out that the larger operators would not take all of our family (we have two toddlers). Thankfully though Simon was more than happy to take us. In the end it was just us and Simon on the boat so we were able to have a trip that... More

Wonderful experience. The tour brought us right out to sea where we. Got a number of amazing sightings of whales breaching. Fantastic opportunities to take photos. Also saw dolphins and seals. The beaches around Kaikoura are home to numerous basking seals. The beaches are unspoiled and beautiful wild stony features. Wonderful seafood to be had also. Accommodation very inexpensive.

We travelled round South Island and lNorth Island.and this was a highlight of our trip. The visit was well organised with not too many on the boat. The guide was superb as were all the staff assisting. It was such an experience to swim with these intelligent, inquisitive creatures. The were obviously intrigued by us and left when they were bored.... More

I did whale watching in Kaikoura w my parents and as you can add the numbers we paid a lot of money for all three of us but it was really worth it!If you're not in California or the Mexican coast there's no better place in the world to see whales in their natural enviroment.Allthough the wheather was horrible with...
