Plenty of shade in the summer time, open park area at the top for picnics, keep an eye on the kids but you don't need to be constantly on edge.

We walked from Mair Park. Took about an hour. Well worth the effort with the river, mosses, Stones. The Whangarei Falls were magnificent so week took some time at the base to enjoy the energy

Should visit if you're in Whangarei. If you're up and early, carry your picnic and enjoy a day at the falls.

We were thrilled with the falls and the ease of the parking. Parklike grounds and falls were mesmerising, haven't been there in years and they have done a great job on the viewing area.

Nice place for a short walk or a slightly longer short walk. 😀 Facilities are being upgraded and tracks are being worked on (not in bad shape anyway) Definitely worth a look if your in the area or passing through.

Busy tourist pic spot but worth it and easy enough walk - wheel chair even from top but easy walk down to base and back up even for 4yo and those of easy fitness

Sorry, I don't know. Best to Google it, or ask the Whangarei I-site for info online. Good luck :)
