Nice location for a walk and browse by the shops Good range of food places and easy parking We eat at the cafe which was good a little pricey compared to Auckland but good overall

Good place to break a journey North. Plenty of food choices and lots of little arty, crafty stores. Has a big car park, good children playground, acceptable washrooms and a gently walk along the harbour edge

The Town Basin Is a vey buzzy place with lovely gardens, restaurants and bars, overlooking the boats it a great place for a good meal and a glass of wine.

something different to do . nice leisure walk around the harbor basin with further walks around Pohe island and the bridge. good eating places and nice shops for some kiwiana items

We are lucky to have such a great waterfront as the heart of our City. The Town Basin also has 2 of Whangarei's best restaurants The Quay and No 8, which both create amazing food with excellent service. They give the area a real buzz...More

This is a scenic ,trendy happening place to meet friends or just to have a quiet coffee. Plenty of cafes, icecream shop and eateries to choose from. A great park for the kids is nearby.

If your traveling to Whangarei be sure to have a good look around the Town basin, lots to look at, great places to have a coffee or a meal.
