nice garden, butteflies yes, orchids no

We like to visit butterfly gardens. The butterflies are exotic, not from New Zealand. We saw only 2 orchids. Staff friendly

I absolutely loved it! We spent about 45 minutes in there and did a couple loops. The butterflies are beautiful and I was blown away by the flowers. I had a couple of butterflies perch on me, which was lovely! Very warm and humid, but that was ok! My husband had a great time challenging himself to photograph thr butterflies!... More

A small space yet a wonderful experience. Knowledgeable staff member was very helpful in telling us about the plants and butterflies. Very hot though so cannot stay inside for too long. Would have been good to have a small cafe there. Butterflies were amazing ! And can view the hatching area. Beautiful flowers and tropical garden. We took video and... More

My husband, two children and I didn't know what to expect at the Garden. We were blown away by the beauty of the garden enclosure and the knowledgeable staff. What an asset to Thames!

A little unpolished gem at the North end of Thames. We took our son and his Singaporean partner to visit last summer - she loved the steamy heat and the flowers reminded her of home. A rainbow of colourful butterflies delighted us all as they swooped around us.

Stopped in to see the butterflies and stretch our legs. Kind of a funky set up but the owner was nice and we enjoyed looking at the butterflies. There was even a little tiny bird in one of the trees. Nice visit.

The last time we visited was with the previous owner, a Swiss man. Need we say more? Everything was spick and span. This time the 'garden' by the entryway was weedy and desolate looking (Japanese honeysuckle, BTW, is a pest plant) which made us wonder what we'd find inside. Plenty of butterflies, I'm pleased to say, which were doing their... More
