Great experience

Great coverage from the sun, slips can be an issue after a large rainfall event. Steady climb forst 3.8km into the track from Ashhurst side

We were looking for a way to pass the time while waiting for our hotel room to be ready. It is clearly a child and family friendly museum with friendly staff and very interesting displays.

We are Palmerston North locals and my toddler loves to go there at least once a week. There is a great childrens play area and entry to the museum is free. However, every now and again they have special exhibitions that you have to pay money for. However, for the money spent, it is on the border line worth it.... More

A T-Rex ready to rip a parents arms off 'as their small children looked on with horror'. Palmerston North in devastation 'thanks to the rampage of these large vicious creatures'. Fully animated (animatronics) screaming creatures put excitement into the mix as you learn and engage. But whatever you do... Don't step into the Dinosaur poo (it's rather large!). A well-worth... Enjoyed our little stroll around Te Manawa. Some fun things for the little one to do, and suitable for the teen as well. The dinosaur exhibition was good, as was Santa's cave. However, not so sure about being asked for a gold coin donation after paying a little over $20 to view (for the three of us). Apart from that,... More

This place is great there is so much to do, the staff are great, the dinosaur exhibit is quite small and expensive for what it is but very cool, the santa cave was very very cool and was the rest of the museum you could spend a few hours very easily

It was a wet day in Palmerston North when we decided to go and see the Dinosaur Exhibition at the Te Manawa Museum complex. The exhibition itself was quite small but very interesting and the dinosaurs themselves were impressive. We also visited the Rugby Museum which is in the same building and showcases the game and it's history in New... More

This was quite a small exhibition, but very well staged - using PN locations as the background. Quite a lot of fun really. There is a lot more to the museum as well, including a large Kids Area and dinosaur digging up exhibit.

Great changing exhibits to a high quality. Great interactive exhibits for children - a well used city asset.
