Overview
More
Mammoth is an impressive, gothic-like cave that could easily be described as the perfect home for a caveman. Tours are self-guided with an audio headset and begin via an elevated boardwalk through towering Karri forest. As you journey through the spectacular formations lookout for the carefully lit animal bones and fossils and listen to the stories about extinct animals. Wildflowers are abundant around the precinct from September to November. Located 22km south of Margaret River.

Although not a big cave, it is an easy cave to enter and exit. Lots of stairs to climb for one exit (about 160) but you can also exit through the entry. I loved the self guided audio that gave some amazing information into the...More

We visited the caves in September. Be warned there are a lot of steps down to the cave which take a few minutes to climb down. Back up takes a little longer! There's a little platform half way down which offers a great view of...More

I recall visiting a cave on a school camp many years ago so a good 25yrs had passed. It was more impressive than I remember. Nature at its finest. Worth a visit if you're in the area. We went late in the afternoon about 40mins...More

I've never been inside anything like this before, simply breathtaking... remarkable that something like this is accessible to the public... 450 steps and most of them on a significant incline, tells you how far underground you actually are. Only downside for me was that the...More

Massive and beautiful cave. Lots to see and the audio tour really helped. Nice walk when you come out of the cave back to the car. Great place to visit.

This tour combines absurdly breathtaking geology, truly unique biogeography, and modern paleontological missteps, all in one. For science nerds like me, this cave is a must-see. The head-set guided tour was a nice way to be able to absorb and admire at my own pace...More

This is the only cave I did, it's very easy to walk into front part of cave, it's a beautiful cave & you don't have to go in very far to see how beautiful it is. It will take as long as you want it to take from 15mins onwards More

No need to pre book. Look in all the booklets and see whether you can get a discount. You can also get a combined ticket with the other caves which works out cheaper if you want to visit more than one site.
