This was our second visit to Melting Pot to do a glass blowing workshop with Gerry, and just like the first we had a brilliant time. Gerry and Margot are both friendly and welcoming, and Gerry is a great instructor. He is flexible, encouraging and very talented, making what could be a daunting task seem so easy and fun. Thanks... While staying in the Margaret River region we booked a session at The Melting Pot Glass Studio. Myself, my daughter and granddaughter were warmly greeted by Margot who showed us some of the glassware, which was really beautiful. We then met Gerry who made us feel quickly at ease. We were already aware of the rule about wearing cotton and... More

Took the opportunity to make a glass bauble was a lovely afternoon and so interesting. A lovely couple run this business and produce some beautiful pieces of work we left with a lovely momento that they helped us make

We went and made a glass bauble each. We got to use our creativity to each come away with a unique piece. It's a quick process but the teenage girls loved it.

Beautiful glassware, lovely people - studio could do with being upgraded however. They have moved to their property and have not really got showroom" anymore. There were very few choices, and the beautiful baubles that I had seen previously were not available. The choices that are there however are stunning and I at least got the little wren I was... We live just round the corner from Jerry and Margot. Jerry is a wonderful glass maker producing stunning artwork. Always aa delight to visit and over the years we have purchased much of his work. It can also be viewed at Leeuwin Estte and the gallery in town.

This is the real Margaret River. Real people who have been doing their art for many years. This is no "tourist trap". Trust me, this is quality on the MOST understated Aussie way. Artists are artists.

I booked my family, 2 children aged 9 and 12, to 'Blow our own Bauble' at a cost of $40 each. It was a great experience for all of us. The work on display is worth going to see, as it is gorgeous, but it was even more fun to pick out our own colours, designs and then be involved... More

The ancient craft of hot glass blowing is surely one of the most difficult to master. You can watch master craftsman Gerry Reilly make beautiful objects or learn to make a simple form yourself. Great activity for older kids on a cool day! Gerry is an excellent communicator, and you'll come away really appreciating the skill involved in hand made... More

A great place for a visit to a working glass studio where you get to try your hand at glass blowing or just watch the master at work. Gerry and Margot will make you feel at home in their creative corner of Margaret River. Add this stop to your trip.
