Probably best in winter

The waterfall reduced to a trickle when we were there in January. However the walk and the surrounds and the Grampians in general are fantastic.

Worth a visit, nice spot to stretch the legs with a lovely waterfall at the end! It is steep but not far so you can walk as quick or slow as you like, under 600m. Plenty of flat rock at the bottom to sit back and enjoy the falls.

If you want an easier walk, head to the lookout to get a great view of McKenzies Falls! It's great for all fitness levels and during January it was a lot quieter than down at the base of the falls. Great for photo's as well!

What a lovely experience . Everyone loved it and would go there again. Huge waterfall to witness and enjoy during the scorching summer heat. .. great views ...but be extra cautious not to light any fires during summer and PLEASE Do Not Litter.

The walk down to the falls is steep but worth the effort. I recommend taking the track to fish falls it is an easy walk and you are rewarded with some really beautiful scenery and the fish falls are quite lovely and don't have the crowds that Mc Kenzie Falls do.

We were a bit worried about walking to the falls with our two years old. The way down is hard with lots of steps, the way up very steep (just under 1200 m return) . I must admit it is not as hard as it is advertised but is does require a bit of effort. My husband carried our son... More

After alot of rain these falls were magnificent, the path is well laid out but very steep, sign says 600m but seems alot more than that, the climb back up is a bit taxing depending on age and fitness levels but there is seats along the way and lots of viewing spots, well worth it.
