Hi, the bollards are along the foreshore just west from Cunningham pier (50metres or so) at the corner of Moorabool st and Richie boulevard and continue for about 1kilometre to Eastern beach on Eastern beach road. It is a beautiful little city.
Other free MUST SEE things to do around Geelong are;
The great ocean road, the Otway national park (part of the great ocean road runs along the edge of this) if you head to Lorne and follow the signs to Erskin falls they are very pretty.
The You Yangs national park has excellent walking trails and bbq/picnic facilities and an abundance of kangaroos and Koalas.
The Narana centre is on Torquay rd in Grovedale and is an Aboriginal cultural centre with locally made Aboriginal art and souvenirs a must see in my book.
Enjoy your trip.
