Experience what conditions were really like for miners as you are guided through hidden underground tunnels by friendly and knowledgeable guides. Descending to the depths of Bendigo, gold fever strikes visitors on the famous Mine Experience Tour (61m underground), the exciting Underground Adventure Tour (85m underground) and Australia's deepest underground mine tour, Nine Levels of Darkness (228m underground). Central Deborah Gold Mine was named Victoria's Heritage and Cultural Attraction of the Year in 2011, 2012 and 2013.

Great tour underground explaining how the miners worked back in the gold rush days! The area is very well set up and educational, you can even try your hand at panning for gold!

It was our first time into a mine. We only had time for a short tour so we did the one where they brought us down to 61 metres. And we appreciated the working conditions and hadship of the early miners. Good experience!

We have two boys, 4 & 5.5 yrs old. The staff has very kindly talked us out of doing the underground tour because the whole group has to come up if the kids are too noisy. There's not much to see at ground level... so...More

We had great fun going through tbe gold mine. You get the full "uniform" with miners lights etc and the tour involves a bit of walking. All in all a fun few hours

Went on mine experience tour to third level some 60 m below ground. Group of 14, knowledgeable guide who was ex miner elsewhere. Great instruction of process of mining. Wide tunnels (they have been widened) so not claustrophobic. A must visit to bendigo

A great experience. Our guide, Leon, was a character. Perfectly suited to his role! Gold panning is fun, lots to see and touch. Must do when visiting Bendigo... worth every cent.
