This war memorial site is hallowed ground due to what it represents. It is very well laid out and tastefully done and gives due recognition for the ultimate sacrifice made by many Australian POW's. This site is also VERY educational for children (& adults)..

A touching memorial located adjacent to the Botanic Garden. A lasting memorial to the often forgotten victims.

It made me think just how many lives were lost from Australia, as well as the rest of the world. It is near a lake so you can have a good walk and see the water birds at the same time.

This is a nice stop to add to your itinerary. Especially for us as we have Australian family links. Nice touch.

It contains the name of every Australian prisoner of war. Very moving and beautifully done. A very worthwhile stop on any visit to Ballarat.
