We were attending the festival in this beautiful inner city park. The gardens and conservatory are well maintained. The festival was run very well and was the best outdoor experience I have had in some time. Great Tassie food/wine/beer/cider and everyone behaving perfectly.

Well kept gardens, but not spectacular, with an enclosure with macaque monkeys. Chance to stroll and slow down

Very nice park with a number of things to see and do: beautiful trees, cafes, museums close by, relaxed atmosphere... And a big surprise!: Japanese macaques (!) in Launceston centre park presented by the Japanese government (!?) Nice pavilion - must to visit!

If visiting a trip to this park is a must. Short walk from the CBD and the attractions are free, kids will love the Monkey Exibit.

Launceston's City Park is a delight. If you like the more traditional style of city park, with lawns, flower beds, statues, fountains and greenhouse, you will like this one. Beautifully maintained, with a nice cafe. And a colony of macaques to watch as a bonus. Well done Launceston!

Fabulous green space in the heart of town. Beautiful to look at, lots of history, monkeys and a great place to relax on your own or with the children. Visit the Tasmanian Design Centre too - it's right outside and full of local artworks and craft items

Visited most recently for the 3 day Festivale food, wine and music event, the City Park is also a great place other times for taking in the surroundings, families, tourists or groups of friends to catch up. A restaurant is well placed for a quick coffee or a meal.

The monkeys make the park one of the best in Tasmania. If you are looking for a great place to have a picnic then this is the place in Launceston.

So much happens in City Park. The flowers, walkways, grass areas, the Albert Hall where concerts take place, the beautiful trees that gave shade, the childrens play area, the festives and open air concerts... its a complete experience with the added bonus of a local radio station on site with a museum and Japanese monkeys in there enclosure.
