Arrived only 20 minutes before closing. Made most welcome and given the full tour. What great work these volunteers are doing. Loved the aboriginal art carriage. Looking forward to returning when the historic train rides commence

The volunteers at Downs Steam made us most welcome and showed us all over their beautiful site. They have a wide variety of projects on the go and beautiful grounds and gardens.

Arriving at 1pm i had my personal tour for 90 minutes by the delightful Arthur who made rail history come alive and communicated the amazing vision that this rail museum has for the future. The work being undertaken here by dedicated volunteers was truly astounding....More

Never have I encountered a more friendly group of people as those who run DownsSteam If trains are your thing it's a must see and the bonus is some indigenous artwork second to none. Great place for a coffee or meal

we were lucky enough to have arranged a steam train ride & brought back many fond memories for most who were on the coach trip & they were extremely helpful for our disabled people in our group

Hi, DownsSteam is open every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday between 9am and 3pm. Closed over the christmas period and re-open on the 3rd of January
