The drive to Murphys Creek and Spring Bluff wasn't as pretty as scenic as I'd hoped - pretty ordinary really. I'm sure Spring Bluff train station would be very pretty in spring, but not worth seeing in April - flower beds are bare. Much more scenic drive the other side of Warrego Hwy - the south side.

This is a small town with a pub, shop/cafe, school and railway station used once a year; between Withcott and Highfields/Toowoomba. The best part would be the Murphys Creek Escape camp grounds 4 kms south of the town itself. This is a must stay at for the camper whether they have tents or caravans/campers/motorhomes.

Was a bit disappointed that we had so much trouble finding this place it wasn't very well sign posted and had to stop and ask at the pub, you need to travel all the way through town out the other side and it is the camping ground, would have been nice to see some water as in the photos but... A few things to visit in Murphys Creek, old general store, old train station, old cottage, the pub has just re-opened and has a good vibe about it now. You should try it.

Businesses and residents of Murphys Creek area are very friendly and helpful. Lovely countryside and good food at local store. Place to relax and unwind away from suburbia living.

This is such a pretty hideaway- only 25 minutes from Toowoomba CBD and you feel like you have got away from it all. It is peaceful, the 'beach' is a surprising find- provided there has been enough rain. We have not been for a few months, so I am unsure as to how much water is there- but would assume... More

A bit of a tourist catch, we had to pay for everything (shower, woodfire, material for BBQ...). The receptionist was awfull, really rude and not helpful, I hope they change the staff since this time ! Apart for this, the place is beautiful overlooking the canyon. Unfortunately the swimming hole was dry when we came.

Went to visit a few friends who were staying and it was a very nice location. Went for a swim in what they call the beach. A lot of room for kids to run around and explore, they also had a few activities for children which was not open when we were there
