Very Interesting and more than we expected.

We had certainly expected old coaches but the additions of history of Toowoomba, indigenous displays and energy displays were unexpected extras.

Pleasant enough place but would avoid during school holidays due to children's play area in middle of the cafe. Lunch menu is limited. I had quiche and salad, quiche was dry from sitting for ages before serving. Salad was fresh though. I would say it is a better place for coffee rather than lunch.

There is so much everyone can get from this place. The cafe has an awesome play area in the centre for little ones, and there is also a little educational play area for maybe age 3-10 up the ramp from the entrance. The museum is free for locals and only a small fee for those who are visiting. It is... More

I'd read the reviews but was still pleasantly surprised. Everything displayed so well and with interactive galleries it made it so much more interesting. A working blacksmiths and the workshop were fascinating. Pleased to see that workshops run teaching the old skills

Easy to find and plenty of parking spaces in the car park or on the road. First thing that blew me away was the giant Kauri Pine adjacent to the car park, had never seen one before, very impressive. We were fortunate to be there on the day the "Have a go Festival" was on so this was a bonus... More

Great display of horse drawn carriages from the 1880's, a horseless carriage as well as a goat pulling carriage for children. Shows the route of Cobb and Co driving the mail out to all the remote cattle stations in outback Queensland. Many interactive displays to try your skill. Good for all age groups and well worth a trip down memory... More

Lovely museum with lots of traditional skills and tryouts. Workshops throughout the year, but the best day is the have a go festival. Lots of free tryouts, and some more complicated classes for a small fee.

A great place to visit, see the history of Transport from the days of Cobb & Co, various horse drawn vehicles and even an early horseless carriage. Interactive and informative displays. Also other displays, including interactive Science Room and Travelling Exhibits. Much more than I can mention. My two grandsons - aged eight and five - never tire of the... More

Great for the young and old nice little cafe but unfortunately my steak sandwich was a disappointment about 80% was fat otherwise the rest was good.
