First time there, cafe closed, even though it stated open until 5 pm. Not much to see except mosquitoes , it was a shame that it is not well cared for

Lovely walk around the gardens. Very dry time of year - can’t be helped. Take mosquito repellent though. Grandmothers and family. Walk was acceptable for Grandmothers who are in good shape. Would have liked lunch at the cafe but at $20 for a burger it...More

Large botanical gardens with a good selection of specimens and forest types including some steep bushwalks with views back to Gladstone. Good bird life and kangaroos. Had a lovely cafe and Japenese tea rooms. Highly recommended.

A very large Botanic Garden set around Lake Tondoon with fabulous walking tracks amoungst huge established trees. Wonderful place for birding, there is also a cafe to rest and enjoy the wildlife.

A must see Botanical Gardens, Very clean with plenty of space and a lot of plants and tress to see. Recommend to visit when in town

So unexpected! I absolutely loved these botanical gardens. They were large, tropical, thought out and well marked. You could spend hours here. Gladstone is not the prettiest town but these gardens are the jewel. Put them on the things to do list when visiting

With time to while away in Gladstone before going to Heron Island the botanicgarden was an excellent choice.

The positive and professional attitude of the cafe staff made this an excellent experience. The menu variety together with the high quality food at very affordable prices was a credit to the venue. The environment setting was the visit an extremely enjoyable experience. Thank you.
