Amazing surf spot

This is such a gorgeous view and a must visit for surfers. There is often a natural kiddie pool which is lovely and fresh. Great for sunset photography.

The beach next to Snapper Rocks is lovelly, but it becomes even more fantastic when the waves are up. We could have simply watched the waves crashing against the rocks for hours, but we were distracted as this has to be one of the best places in the world to watch the surfing and this week (& the next two)... The waves at Snapper have improved markedly over the last few years - due to changes in the sand bypass regime. It is not a place for the faint of heart as there seems to be a fair amount of tribalism. Many surfers tell me that it isn't worth the hassles but there are some truly epic barrels to be... More

This is my all time favourite beach on the Gold Coast and I'm not alone with that thinking. It is very popular with families, board riders and older swimmers. There is everything you could possibly need close by. Its quiet and great for a peaceful snooze. Swimming is a-one and its just a delight here. Try out the surf clubhouse... More

If anyone is looking for a surf school for kids I totally recommend Dave at Coolangatta surf, all our kids up within 10mins and long lessons compared to others

Love this place, always busy but still well worth it. Couldn't think of a better way to spend the evening watching the surf and dolphins right in front of you while having your dinner and a drink or two!!

Great looking beach, good surf if that is your thing, and the local surf life savings club looks like a good place to have a beer or pop in for a snack

Not as easy to get to as the more popular beaches but both a safe and surf beach that is fun for all ages.

Snapper rocks is one of the best surfing spots on the gold coast. There's often a great swell and some really talented surfers to watch. Point Danger look out is also a great destination for a morning or evening walk from Coolie or Kirra. Keep an eye out for Brush Turkeys and Water Dragons on and around the walking track... More
