I visited with the purpose of seeing the What a Life Exhibition of Tony Mott's rock photography that is touring Australia and was astounded at the quality and range of other exhibits. I was welcomed to the gallery, given an overview of the exhibition spaces...More

The current display at the Wollongong Art Gallery is Frugal Forest. A forest created from repurposed items (the palm tree made from socks is pretty amazing). Kids with parents or teachers will find the display especially entertaining.

I've lived in Wollongong nearly all my life, and I don't think I've ever visited the Art Gallery. But I had a friend staying over from England, so we spent a few hours at the gallery, and it was lovely. I will definitely be back
Positioned in a charming arts precinct. I parked in crown street and walked through the laneway which was decorated with art exhibitions. The gallery is large and well curated and hung. Very pleasant and surprising quality well worth a visit. Thoroughly enjoyable.
