Nan Tien is very different from most tourist attractions because there is so much to offer: the visual delights of grandeur architecture, art & culture including unique exhibitions & festivals, Buddhist festivals, vegetarian culinary delights, educational & healthy life style classes & retreats, accommodation, top class conference and auditorium facilities as well as beautiful gardens & walks. There is also the spiritual and religious experience that is unforgettable and even life changing for some.

A very quiet place epitomizing the concept of a temple. Be aware of snakes. But they won't frighten you.

This place contains two attractions at the same area. This is a quite big area and very peaceful. You can spend some quite time here and think about the buddha's philosophy of harmony in life. Enjoy your time here in silence and have peace in mind before you leave this place.

Well worth a visit to the Nan Tien Temple, which is set on expansive grounds - though you need to be prepared to walk up and down lots of steps. The temples are beautiful and it is a lovely, peaceful place to visit. Candles are able to be purchased and you can make an offering or prayer. There is also... More

If your visiting Wollongong, or are lucky enough to live here I would highly recommend checking out the temple, it's a gorgeous structure with a lot of beautiful cultural elements.

This is a really interesting place. I'm not religious However it feels tranquil when you wonder around. We undertook a walking meditation class which was great. we climbed the hill and rang the 'gratitude' Bell...be thankful for what you have!

A local being a tourist - lets see what the temple we all drive past everyday looks like from the inside. Well set out in lovely manicured lawns this temple is as people say "East meets West at its best". A camera is worth taking for outdoor photos of the statues around the gardens and the outside of the temples.... More

This is a wonderful temple. The buildings are beautiful and the statues and colours are terrific. It's like being transported to Asia. Many local and visiting Asians seem to come here for their religious services and they also have many types of retreats and meditation sessions to offer. Accommodation is available if you're doing a weekend course. There s a... More

We did this because it was number one on TripAdvisor and i was so glad we did. You can't help but admire the spiritual calmness that has its presence here, and respect the stillness that you feel at entering this amazing Buddhist environment. We were offered to do some calligraphy which only enhanced the experience. Highly recommended!

A largest serene and peaceful Buddhist Temple in the South You will enter this Temple Complex via the Great Compassion Hall where the standing tall The Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva (Thousands hands Guan Yin) waiting for your prayers to eliminates the suffering for all. The stairs on your left lead to the reception and information center where you can register to the... More
