Nan Tien is very different from most tourist attractions because there is so much to offer: the visual delights of grandeur architecture, art & culture including unique exhibitions & festivals, Buddhist festivals, vegetarian culinary delights, educational & healthy life style classes & retreats, accommodation, top class conference and auditorium facilities as well as beautiful gardens & walks. There is also the spiritual and religious experience that is unforgettable and even life changing for some.

Amazing structures & sculptures pertaining to the Buddist faith set high amongst beautiful well tended grounds with views of the escarpment is what you will experience at this popular tourist spot. You may even find an inner calm settles when visiting to the Temple. Things to note are; there are many steps leading up to the main Temple and women... More

I remember coming here once as a child but wanted to revisit as an adult. It is beautiful! I spent a couple hours wandering around the grounds, absolute tranquility. There are little paths and statues everywhere, a huge lotus pond, and the temples are exquisite. The grounds are very well kept and beautiful to wander around through. The temples are... More

First visit in many years. Noodle soups and lots of fried foods. Vegetarian salt and pepper prawns were great, so was the lotus tea (an entire dried lotus flower in the pot!).

All staff and monks were extremely kind and helpful with all our questions. We were unaware that ladies wearing shorts could not enter the Pagoda or Temple however we were able to obtain a "sarong" from reception for the cost of a coin donation for cleaning. I offered $5 but was told that was too much. You don't experience this... More

Only 10 mins drive from Wollongong and you will find the biggest temple in the southern hemisphere. Well worth a visit. They offer vegetarian lunches which is quite tasty. Good spot to spend a few hours to look around.

This complex is larger than you would expect and consists of a number of different temples, a pagoda and beautiful, well maintained, tranquil grounds. My daughter and I felt uplifted by the sincerity of the monks and site staff, and took the opportunity to ring the large bell by the pagoda, and light joss sticks in memory of my late... More

I visited this wonderful part of the world to set my intentions in order and find a peaceful place to be quiet and reflect on how far i had come. 2016 was not really a great time for me and i wanted to be clear about 2017. This was just the place to do this, beautiful buildings and glorious rooms... More

We went here with the family. It was a interesting place to visit So many things to see. Was glad to have seats everywhere as it can get tiring when walking around. Not much shade to cool off. You really need to be quiet in the temples which is almost impossible with little kids. Plenty of parking on site.
