Grim. From the police state rules everywhere, to the crowds, lack of tasting opportunities and the expensive products, this is a tourist trap that’s best avoided.
Compare with other food oriented establishments in the area and thus comes up poorly. We stayed for less than 5 minutes.
Avoid.

Visited today and bought some chocolates and fudge. No tastings were available which is a little disappointing to start with. The chocolate was ok but I have had better options and flavours. The fudge was terrible, it was just hard sugar. The sugar had obviously not been rendered down properly. Won’t be going again.

Staff don’t seem to like tourist or kids. I thought maybe we just got them on a bad day but I’ve looked through the reviews and our experience was similar to many. An older man approached my 12 year old while we were with her and aggressively lectured her on how she was holding the chocolate wrong and pushed a basket at us. (For one small chocolate bar). He went on to do the same thing to another mother and daughter. It was so weird like a tantrum. Avoid! Especially if you have kids.

Trip Advisor asked how their service could be improved. They can improve by SACKING the sad old bast@rd of a man that was on shift around 4-5pm on 29/7/23. He was the only guy there.
He GRABBED THE SMALL CHOCOLATE BAR OFF THE HAND OF MY TODDLER WHOM I WAS CARRYING MYSELF! Another male shopper saw what happened and laughed at him for what he did. As if they already knew he’s a d!ckhead.
He immediately assumed that we were there walking around not intending to buy anything , with a toddler playing with their chocolates. Discrimination at its finest. I was so shocked that I just stared at him while doing it.
So I grabbed the chocolate bars that we intended to buy anyway and followed him around to the front desk wanting to speak to him. He immediately served other customers greeting them and being nice to them. I followed him around the counter and he couldn’t even look me in the face. Eventually the coward retreated into the staff room at the back, never to come out again.
So I went to another server to pay for my chocolates. All other servers were ladies and nice.
I spoke to the other girl and told her what that man did and she could only apologise on his behalf. I told her that I will write a review for my horrible experience and this is on him, not them.
If he was the manager, I doubt he will hear my complaint. If he wasn’t, I hope he had some intellectual disability because what he did was atrocious, by normal customer service standards.

Generally a nice shop, but staff are unfriendly to children. My 4 year old daugher was enjoying the shop while we spent in excess of 200$, she was looking at the ahelves and not damaged anything. The lady approached her and gave a lecture after which my daughter started crying.
I understand that you are tired of children touching the merchandise, but this is the work and business you chose to do, so cop it. For the price you have put on stuff, let children enjoy the shop. If you have any issues just gently approach parents and not harass kids.

Great assortment of chocolate goodies. Went to both the main store and one at Peterson House (preferred). Mostly in milk and dark chocolate options. Great for a quick treat or packs for sharing.

We visited on Australia Day 2023. The store has plenty of parking and plenty of space/seating even on a busy day. Outdoor seating area has a beautiful view. The store has so many great products including chocolate, honey, oils, preserves, sauces, candy, flavours nuts, gelato etc. the flavours chocolates are high quality and delicious (we tried rose, pineapple and coconut, berry and chilli). It was a great place to enjoy some sweet treats, relax and to shop. The staff were helpful and friendly.

We were very happy to walk into the cool aircon, browse through a great range of chocolate, preserves, lollies (and more!), and to enjoy a gelato overlooking the HV landscape. The staff were friendly and helpful, and attentively cleaning the seating area. Great chocolate too!

Rude and discriminating against Asian!! We have been to many chocolate factories but this one is the worst. We bought some chocolates and sat at an empty sitting area to enjoy the chocolates. However, a middle man came over and accused us for not buying anything from the chocolate factory and drinking “tea” from our thermal flask. In fact, we were just trying to wash down the chocolates we ate with our drinking water from thermal flask. There are much better chocolate factories elsewhere. Not worth visiting…
