Watched Les Mis with friends. The theatre didn't look much on the outside but inside the theatre was something different. It's not that big but the decoration is something the theatre goers would also appreciate aside from the performances. Looking forward to watching more shows...More

By far my favourite place to go to. Whether it a play or a concert, I am never left disappointed with such a great atmosphere and stunning building quirks!

A lovely theatre with plenty of atmosphere. We took friends to the St Phillips school presentation of Mary Poppins. This was an extraordinary performance by the pupils of St Phillips. A very professional presentation and thoroughly entertaining. Well done school.

The Civic impressed us with its over-the-top 1920's architecture in Spanish Baroque style. Super spacious and comfortable. We were entertained by the play 'Jasper Jones' Fun evening at one of the states grand theatres.

A truly beautiful and functional theatre. Lush and comfortable surrounds. Bar and dining facilities within building are perfectly suited to accommodate large crowds. I'd love to go again. A great community asset.

The Civic theatre is a wonderful example of the grand theatres of a previous age. The Art deco interior is fabulous and throughout the year they host some great productions. The theatre is a short walk from the foreshore and is about half way along...More

Been revitalising my desire to catch up on some events at the civic and it hasn't changed over the years. It's still a great little theatre. The ornate architecture is fantastic. The acoustics are pretty good even for someone half deaf like me (although I...More
