Keenly felt part of history swimming in this pool carved into the rock by convicts... I hope they were rewarded with more than the beautiful vista they would have surveyed. A gorgeous spot and the water is cool and crystal clear.

This is a must to visit, just watch your young children as it’s terribly dangerous with the steep steps, but absolutely beautiful.

This swimming spot is a little difficult to find but once you have you will be greatly rewarded. Situated between the cliff and the ocean it is definitely a unique place worthy of the effort.

What a top spot for a swim. Amazing how it was dug out by the convicts so long ago without modern day machinery.

This is the most amazing place to swim! Out of the way to get there but the best to find and swim. They have improved the setting with much safer stairs for access. The rocks around it remain slippery. Go in low tide, too dangerous...More

Rediscovered this amazing beauty. Such a gem in the middle of Newcastle. We parked in King Edward Park and walked down. About a five minute walk. Easy to do. Stairs have been built to the pool. Not much room at the pool so take as...More
