This is a lovely spot to relax and look at the surf. A nice cafe with good coffee. The restrooms are not great . The seating areas for eating are lovely and some are covered for rain or hot weather.

The pools are open year round. It is very picturesque. Check the Council schedule for cleaning to avoid cleaning times.

The Baths are a breath of fresh air! If only W.A caught on to the idea. Went for a swim and there were a few people using the free facility (Middle of winter!) Will be back!

Nice to be able to take a dip for free. 2 large pools gives plenty of space for everyone to fit in. Scenic and well maintained

Really nice building, not to many people and the kids loved it. Great kiosk and we took a stroll down to the kiwi ice cream shop for an ice cream at Zara st, watched the surf for a while and strolled back.

What a wonderful bonus for Newcastle! Not only do they have one ocean pool close to town but also another at nearby Merewether beach. All shapes, sizes and ages enjoy this fantastic facility and it’s clean and free of charge. Swimming in clean salty water is...More

A great place to visit. Find parking along the streets. The baths have more than one area-we just went to the child’s beach and pool; shallow 4 inches after the tide goes out (deeper further out towards the ocean end) and the water gets comfortably...More
