Great spot to sit and relax

Lovely spot for fishing. Great for the kids to run around and enjoy going over the bridge to see the water powering through.

Good views and photo opportunity on top of the bridge. We picnicked on the grass reserve on the side.

Four of us set of from Wymah at about 9am to paddle to the Dam Wall ( well to the Caravan van Park nearby ). We were well equipped and this was a stage of paddling the length of the Murray River. The Lake area is huge !! and could be a bit over whelming if kayaking alone. Good maps... More

Beautiful drive around the various roads surrounding Lake Hume especially on a nice sunny day. Interesting to stop at the weir and walk across the dam wall. Good nearby facilities with plenty of car parking, picnic areas and toilets.

Great place for a picnic with BBQ and nice park. Great when there's heaps of rain and they open the gates. No fishing allowed on wall and park. Up the road is the caravan park with great shop for ice creams and coffees. Nice day trip or good walk along bridge. Lots of people bring their dogs for a walk

Hume dam was built in the mid 1900's as a key part of the Murray river irrigation program. The dam is located about 20km east of Albury and well worth a visit. There are cafes, BBQ and picnic areas offering plenty of shade in summer located near the dam wall. I visited early November the dam was full to capacity... More
