Stopped here as part of our tour through the National Park and subsequent drive along the coast. There are rest rooms and free parking. It's a beautiful view, to say the least, but then it's fascinating to watch the hang gliders drift through the sky. Do mind the safety cones and stay behind them on the parking lot side. It's to protect you and not interfere with the hang gliders.

Fantastic views of the Illawarra coast line. We were lucky to see the paragliders in action. Excellent viewing platforms, Mr Whippy in attendance and plenty of parking.

Such a beautiful location with views down the coast and of Sea cliff bridge in the distance, hot spot for hang gliders which is a treat watching them float around and drift to the beach below

What a wonderful afternoon spent at Bald Hill Lookout watching the hang gliders and paragliders just majestically floating off the edge of the cliff and being caught and lifted by the air around them... what a rush 💨
We could have sit and watch for hours. It’s a wonderful view and a great place for a picnic!

We had no idea that the hang gliders would be flying on a windy day. In the 2 hours there we saw a dozen get rigged up and leave. It was a great time well spent watching them take off and also learning about Lawrence Hargraves and his box kites leading the way in flight.
Congested and crowded on a Sunday there was food and coffee at mobile vans and a kiosk. Toilet facilities and lots of seats.

We visited Bald Hill whilst in the Stanwell Tops area recently. You have to hang on to your hats here because while we were there a few people lost their hats and caps over the edge as it was very windy. Magnificent panoramic view of the area including the Sea Cliff Bridge. There is plenty of parking available and also seats for viewing. Food is available on site.

We stopped here for a break while out on a motorbike ride. The view up and down the coast is very good. This place is very busy on a weekend, but worth a stop to see the view.

This is a nice place to stop and enjoy the views down the coast. What makes it different to most lookouts is the people hang gliding and para gliding. It is fascinating to watch them, even if you're not brave enough to give it a go yourself.

Yesterday I walked from Otford Station to Bald Hill. From there I planned to walk to Stanwell Park. There seems to be no safe way to walk from Bald Hill to Stanwell Park. The only connection seems to be via Lawrence Hargraves Drive and that is extremely dangerous for pedestrians.

The address and pin on the map are incorrect. The address of Bald Hill is Otford Rd Stanwell Tops and the pin is correctly placed about a kilometre away from where it should be.

Otford Rd goes all the way to the stop sign at the Stanwell Park turnoff, it doesn't start at the 'turnoff' north of Bald Hill. The pin is in the bush but there are two businesses near by, the entrance to a paint ball place and a sewerage pump station.
