Mountain biked the Old Ghost Road over three nights. A uniquely enjoyable experience. Fantastic alpine scenery, beautiful bush, great track, salutatory meetings with some of those directly involved and superbly equipped huts.

One of New Zealand's best walks may be camouflaged as a mountain bike track. We had a fantastic 4 day walk. The Huts were great and in very scenic locations.

There is nothing else quite like the Old Ghost Road. It is the pinnacle of wilderness mountain biking and an enormous credit to the people and the community who built it.

Hi Adam There are water tanks at each of the hut sites as well as a number of tributaries along the length of the trail, you should never be too far from a water source. I hope this answers your question.
