Must visit on the way to Milford sound. A small stop for a lot of tourist to take break. Nice place to stop and take snaps on the way to Milford sound.

we visited teanau a couple months ago and this lake was so beautiful not like queenstown lake you saw too many people this place is great for a walk or just sit there for the beautiful view.Great place.
We stayed in Te Anau for three days. The scenery was outstanding. High snow capped mountains surrounding a beautiful lake. Easy access. Well worth a visit.

The lake is a very impressive body of water and is the major attraction on the first leg of the drive from Te Anu to Milford Sound. Excellent asset for Te Anu
