We decided to book a ride with Skippers Canyon jet boats because of the coach ride into the canyon. It is soooo worth it just for the ride in! The scenery is absolutely amazing!!!! Our driver Pete was fabulous and made us all feel very safe on one of the world's most dangerous roads. When we finally got onto the... More

What an amazing experience! We didn't know whether to book this trip or the Shotover Jet, and we opted for this as it seemed better value for money with the interesting and very scary bus ride to the canyon. The bus driver was very knowledgable and kept us entertained and informed. The jet boating was great fun - 20 minutes... More

The trip was helped by a very helpful and knowledgeable driver. There were various 'Lord of the Rings' sites en-route which were explained in some detail. The road is described as one of the most dangerous public highways in the world, it felt like it! We had a great jet boat trip down the river and a good experience overall.

The Skippers Canyon Jet Boat tour is an adventure from the moment you get on the bus. I only wish the speaker system hadn't been broken, because we didn't get the commentary in the bus that I heard was both entertaining and educational. Even so, the drive was the farthest thing from boring. Even on the paved roads, the view... More

This is a must do bucket list adventure. Our min-bus driver Peter (elderly gentlemen with amazing personality, all class) Peter drover the bus to the river goes through a scenic road that is just inches from sheer cliff drop (rated as 3rd most dangerous road in the world.) But with a professional driver like Peter, we have no worries. The... More

Fantastic ride up this single track road with cliffs and sharp drop on one side to and from the river made this an extra special trip. My sister was not keen going there but was blasé on the way back. Health and safety is key to all NZ activities. Jet boat was fun in narrow canyon and 360 degree turns.... More
