Was a nice drive up to the top - had quite good weather, was misty cloud at the very peak. Would be lovely in winter with all the snow

I went in late October and the slopes were clear of snow. Great weather gave fantastic panoramic views of the surrounding area.

We drove up in spring and found a super view. Few push bike riders around, a few more hang gliders in the area but it was the view that caught our attention.

Nice mountain to ski on during winter, when its got full coverage its an awesome places with loads of natural hits and steep terrain to be had. Closest mountain to town as well, no more than 30mins from Queenstown

We weren't sure what to expect but decided to drive up to the top of Coronet Peak. What we found were almost deserted windy roads and almost a ghost town at the top. There was a little snow but nothing was open... Not even the toilets! It was much smaller than we expected. They were doing some building work in... More

We loved the night skiing at Coronet Peak, it is so good have the option to get up late and go skiing until late. However we find Coronet peak very busy comparing to Remarkables and Cadrona. It is more suitable for families with kids who do not want to drive too far to go skiing.

The good thing about this mountain resort is the location. Very easily reachable from Queenstown. The drive up is a short 15 minutes. Laybys are available to stop and take great photos. The view from the peak is outstanding. So, I say it's a must-stop destination on your way to Arrowtown or Wanaka.

Our first day skiing the South Island was at Coronet Peak. Was a bit crowded, but the conditions were very good. We're from Mammoth Mountain in California so we were not used to skiing without trees. Beautiful place, great people.
