The old steamship is a great ride on the lake. It is authentic and well maintained. The setting of the farm is beautiful. The dinner not so much. The food was good, not great, it is a buffet after all and very crowded. Enjoy the boat ride and the sheep shearing if you haven't seen that before but do not... More

Oldest steam ship trip across the lake both below decks and on the deck, café with drinks and eats on the ship along with museum and being able to watch them fuel the ship with coal. The bbq lunch at the homestead was plentiful, lovely pork, lamb and beef and yummy desserts. The homestead setting has lovely gardens and lots... More

We really enjoyed our trip on the TSS Earnslaw. It's a lovely old boat with the original engine on full view for passengers to see. The views of the lake are just lovely. On the way back the pianist played lots of old tunes and many passengers sang along using the song sheets provided.

Watch the crew toke the boilers with coal from the main deck. Also view the engine working as the steamship cruises the lake. The highlight of the cruise was sitting around the piano player singing songs as the rain pelted the outside deck.

Our tour included the boat ride and the dinner at Colonels Homestead Restaurant. We had amazing weather for our event. The boat is beautiful and historical. It's a smooth ride. We sat inside the rear of the boat and loved the live piano music. We had wonderful Sauvignon Blanc from the bar on the boat. Drinks onboard were not included... More

We take a grandchild down to Walters Peak every year when we visit them it is usually a very enjoyable experience. But this year the steamer was a little overcrowded. Lots of people had to crowd into the Shearing shed. Afternoon tea was enjoyable and assistance was given when we asked for Nut free allergy options

Such a cool opportunity to have ferry trip on this old "fella", to see all it parts and listen to the live piano music. Unfortunately, we took last late ferry (20.45 it was Chinese new year and there were 2 extra runs of ferry, the latest was at midnight) and couldn't see the lake, however will take another trip and... My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our lake cruise on this fascinating vessel. Because of other commitments we only had time for the cruise rather than visiting the farm or afternoon tea as well, which was a shame. We would certainly like to experience the full package next time. The day was warm and sunny and the views were amazing.... More
