We traveled with Real Journeys for a overnight cruise. To experience the silence in the Doubtful Sound. But on the large vessel there was no silence at all. During the whole night the airco was very noisy. So if you want to experience the silence, go with a smaller boat of another company.

We did the cruise+farm activity and enjoyed the change of pace - it was nice to sit back and relax after being on the move (kayaking, caving, zip lining, luging, tramping). The kids were impressed with the steam boat, farm dogs, sheep shearing and afternoon tea, which was scrumptious and generous! Our guide was friendly and authentic. The setting was... More

Worth the price. Cruised over for the lunch and show. The boat is fantastic take time to look here over. The lunch fantastic plenty to eat and more you will not go hungry. The shearing show was ok but I've seen thousands of sheep shawn before. But if you haven't then go.

Good for school age kids whom are interested in all things to with boats and travel. Had an iced coffee and iced chocolate at the dining tables and then toured around the boat at leisure looking at the different parts, working engines and access to stand on the front. Lower section with some portholes. We pretended we were on the... More

Went on the evening trip with BBQ and farm visit. The boat was packed out with nowhere to sit and people smoking so generally unpleasant. The BBQ meal was quantity over quality. The large cold prawns weren't cooked properly, we sent that back. Meat and fish was dry and over cooked. You could have as much of that as you... More

The scenery around the lake is amazing. This ride allows not only to enjoy them, but also to take amazing photos. We did the round trip without stepping down for dinner. It was perfect. They have a full bar with wine and beer. On the return trip there is a sing along at the piano bar. You may sing at... More

We enjoyed a wonderful cruise on the TSS Earnslaw across to Walter Peak High Country Farm. Once there, we enjoyed a lovely high tea followed by a sheep sheering demonstration and the kids got to feed the deer, sheep, highland cattle and alpacas. A really great family day out :)

We went on Christmas day when they was little open in Queenstown. The farm tour wasn't available on Christmas day. All you could do was the steamship cruise or cruse combined with brunch at the farm. We made the mistake of just doing the steamship, thinking brunch would be mediocre. It may have been - but not in position to... More

We weren't sure when we read about this whether it would be a cheesy tourist trap or a great time and we decided we were so glad we did it. The steamship is actually a true running steamship and they let you go into the engine room and watch it run (which is super cool especially if you are into... More

Great trip for all ages. Great service & Great value. Boat trip was enjoyable & relaxing. Time to explore boat. Walter Peak was a great opportunity to get up close with various animals. Was plenty of afternoon tea & time to enjoy it. Show was worth seeing even if you have been on a farm before.
