Really lovely walk. We went with 8 frends and a 2yo in a pram. The track was suitable for all of us but can be a bit rough in parts for a pram. It's fairly flat and the scenery is beautiful. Highly recommended, really glad I went. Look out for the rope swings en route.

Only 30 minutes form Queenstown by local bus, this pretty town is steeped in gold mining history and is home to probably the best museum I have ever visited anywhere. Spent a whole day exploring the old Chinese Settlement, the town, museum and walking the Millenium Trail by the River Arrow. Wild Lupins grow everywhere in spring. Fantastic place.

I took a speed boat along this river which was exciting although very cold and wet but an experience not to be forgotten with beautiful scenery thrown in.

We love Arrowtown and the river is just gorgeous. The locals love it too. This trip, we walked the Arrow River Trail one gorgeous sunny Sunday afternoon. The track is well formed and maintained and mostly flat. It took us about 50 minutes to do the loop. Highly recommended as an option to work off your indulgences at Patagonia Chocolates.... More

The Arrow River is actually in Arrowtown - not Queenstown! It's a lovely walk taking about 1 hour return from Arrowtown centre following the Arrow River with spectacular foliage colours in Autumn. Rather than returning by retracing our steps, we took the New Chum's Gully track across to Tobins Track and then down to Arrowtown - approx 2½ - 3... More

Visited old Chinese settlement. Had very nice coffee and cake from the bakery. General stroll through old-time streets. Nice parks for sitting and just watching the "olde" world facades mixed with new technology like I-Pads, Internet and late model cars parked in the street.

We visited Arrowtown during a recent visit to Queenstown. Lots of lovely shops and a nice walk down by the river where we could see Lord of the Rings Film sites. A nice place to fill in an hour or two during a visit to Queenstown - approx 25 minute drive. Something for all ages to enjoy here. Made a... More
