Excellent wines and friendly, welcoming service. The surrounds are picturesque. I always enjoy the boutique, family run wineries over the big companies.

Access is along a narrow gravel road, but the views are rewarding! It's a small winery with free parking outside, plenty of space to run and sweeping views across the valley. The tasting room is small, the service friendly, staff very knowledgeable and helpful and...More

Don't go in a group of more than 5 pax. Above 5 pax they will charge NZD125 and taste at Cellar. There is no big deal on the wine tasting in the Cellar. Cold and dark. In additional each have to pay NZD10 for the...More

Dear Ng C When you telephoned our office you were advised that the only way we could cater for a group your size, (11) was a private tasting in our barrel hall. We advised you, before you arrived at our winery, that there would be...More

We are sorry that you were disappointed with your visit to Chard Farm. I am sure you can understand, that if we did have a restaurant at Chard Farm then that would increase traffic on the road and also the possibility of guests consuming more...More

Our host was friendly, funny and knowledgeable of the wines. There is a $10 tasting fee if you don't purchase wines which is donated to a local hospice. Pinots were great (unsurprisingly). A stunning view and a white knuckle drive up the 2km road. Worth...More
