Most amazing place to visit, travelling initially along a narrow mountain side driveway with a very steep drop Incredible views! Once there a bit disappointing / only s tasting place, no internal tours, food or sense of involvement They could certainly do a lot more & if they did would blow this place away

Our host was friendly, funny and knowledgeable of the wines. There is a $10 tasting fee if you don't purchase wines which is donated to a local hospice. Pinots were great (unsurprisingly). A stunning view and a white knuckle drive up the 2km road. Worth it though!!

The host of our B&B recommended Chard Farm - he said the wine is fine but the views are spectacular. He was right on both counts. We've had better wine but the tasting experience was really quite fun. There was literally one woman serving a room full of people but she kept us all going and then some. We've had... More

This was a lovely winery and a great little trip up a hillside to get to the Cellar Door (tasting room). The host is gracious and knowledgeable and the wines are delicious. We visited five wineries (Carrick, Mt. Difficulty, Amisfield, Peregrine and Chard Farm Winery. This combination offered a nice variety of wine varietals and tasting experiences. (Nominal tasting 'fees'... More

We stumbled upon this winery a short distance from Queenstown. We were hoping to get a bite with a tasting but, alas, no food. But the wine was quite good. We wound up buying several bottles even though it meant we'd have to lug them back across the Pacific and North America. They also recommend a place just down the... More

What a great tasting. A room full of punters wanting a taste, being served by 1 person and she managed to make us all feel special. Oh and the wines were delicious.

The drive to the winery is beautiful (note: the driveway is narrow, and you are driving along a steep drop). The wine is delicious, and we bought two bottles of the Pinot Noir. A wonderful stop, and a great excuse to drive around Central Otago.

Down a long winding gravel road opposite the Kawarau Bungy jumping site, Chard Farm was one of the pioneers in Central Otago winemaking. It has flourished, and it's a great venue for a wine tasting, and a chance to catch up on some history of the region.

As always we stopped in to taste and to by some of their fantastic wine, had a great tasting with the staff and bought some lovely MkII Pinot to go home with. Thanks so much and see you next year.
